"Our Passion is Your Gain"
Andrew Ingman - Owner, Ingmans
At Ingmans we offer a first class and fully traditional repair service. Our repairers are trained to the very highest standards and our talisman in this department has 43 years experience and was shown the gentle art of repairing by a retired London Shoemaker.
That craft translates directly to climbing shoes. A resole is one of the most precise jobs in the trade: the old rubber has to come off without damaging the rand, and the new sheet has to be bonded, shaped and edged to hold a millimetre of rock. Get it right and the shoe climbs like new.
Our knowledge is vast and we're delighted to say that this has now been acknowledged by Vibram. We resole using genuine Vibram climbing compounds – Vibram XS Edge, Vibram XS Grip and Vibram XS Grip 2 – so your shoes go back on the wall performing the way they were designed to.
We aim to get your shoes back to you within 3-4 weeks. If there were to be any delays, we would be in contact with you.
Maximum edging support. Developed to deliver maximum support on small footholds, XS Edge resists deformation under high pressure, so it holds its shape on the smallest holds and gives you something solid to stand on. It performs best on stiffer shoes with full-length soles.
Best for technical routes with micro footholds.
More on Vibram XS EdgeThe all-rounder. The first compound in Vibram's generation of high performance climbing rubbers. XS Grip strikes a genuine balance between grip, edging and durability across a wide range of surfaces, with good shape stability and long wearing grip.
Best for all-round climbing, indoors and out.
More on Vibram XS GripPure friction. The natural evolution of XS Grip, and the choice of numerous bouldering world championship winners. XS Grip 2 delivers measurably improved grip with a firmness suited to moderate edging and sloping holds, and stays consistent whether it's baking or freezing.
Best for overhanging routes and anything demanding maximum grip.
